Some pictures of the unveiling of the 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R, dubbed the GT-R Proto, from the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. It’s pretty close to the sketches that were released earlier.

Update: New Skyline spotted in the U.S.

I think its lost some of the reknown Skyline GTR muscle car appeal and taken a more sporty approach.. its still pretty cool though.. cant wait until they stort out whether its a Nissan or Infiniti so I can head over to my local dealer and drop a deposit right after I collect on my winning Mega Millions lottery ticket..

The car has a mascular look.It has a sporty look.the tailamps shows a link in the old GT-R’s.I think the car is fat.when I grow up,I would buy that and I will drive it.I hope it can drift.I live in the Philippines I hope that they would sell it in here

Though the muscular side of this japanese production car was a bit left out, its new sporty look makes it look more of a monster that it was before…. It is just the prototype so i’d like to expect more of the skyline… whew…

Very bold nissan, but have the same head to tail platform of the nissan 350z, and it is like a short base so as other talking the muscle car effect of the skyline gtr is lost and now a more quiker sports car. I think it looks great but i like the r34 and the older models because it had a meaner look to it, this one just looks more like a sports car

this car is not as good as all the other skylines. It looks like a hybrid, it pisses me off just looking at it and i hope that there is a system failure and all the cars blowup and kill millions leaving nismo and nissan only one choice to stop production of the gayline type fag. aight ~1~

I think it looks pretty aggressive considering the direction other japanese cars are going. As long as the new GT-R kicks the crap out of the competition, I will be more than satisfied.
