Just when you thought there were enough axle/fork standards for mountain bikes (5mm QR, 9mm T/B, 20mm, 24mm Maverick, Lefty), here comes another.
Fox and Shimano are planning to use a new 15mm standard in 2009 called the E-axle (or E-thru?). Supposedly it’s lighter and stiffer than a standard QR. We’ll have to see if other hub manufacturers will be allowed to play.
