Wow! It’s June already. Where has the time gone?
A few weeks ago, I finally got my new CHUMBA EVO put together.

So I’ve been busy trying to break this thing in. I figured one way to help with this was to ride my bike to work - so that’s what I did today. It was about a 6 mile journey along Irvine’s finest drainage sewers. 98% of the way was a dedicated bike path. The 2% was when I had to cross the street.
The EVO is probably overkill as a bike commuter. Oh well, you never know when the paved bike path gets real rough.
Biking to work isn’t so bad. I save a few bucks from not driving my SUV. I get in about an hour long workout (30mins each way). I can do interval training drafting roadies. They love that.
The only drawback is that I can’t pack a lot of clothes into my Camelbak. I might need to stow some extra clothes here if I decided to keep this up.
I’m just thankful I’m a mountain biker and not a roadie, so I can at least wear baggies. Imagine the astonishment on co-workers’ faces if they got a look at me in lycra.
