Well it’s the end of July now. The summer days and the long daylight hours that accompany it are halfway gone.
So what have I been up to? I’ve been riding my new CHUMBA Evo as much as I can since early June.
In June, I rode 143.63 miles ascending 20,278 ft. I actually topped that in July with 185.81 miles climbing 25,750 ft.
After over 300 miles and 45,000 vertical feet, I have to say I love how the Evo rides. All that climbing made the descents more than well worth it.
Year to date:
814.95 miles
102,551 ascending feet

Well heck, that puts me over my goal this year of climbing 100,000 ft. I guess that’s like climbing Mt. Everest on a bike 4 times right?
I guess I’ll have to shoot for 200k at the end of this year instead. And still, at the end of the year, I’ll be no where near Mark Weir’s 1-million vertical feet in a year.
