Yeah whatever - but that’s what a few different people told me today. We’re in the midst of a little heat wave. It’s been in the 90s the last few days.
“Did you know it’s 97 outside?”
Of course I do. There’s no budget for the facilities here to turn on the A/C. It’s 85 inside downstairs. It’s probably close to 90 in my office.
“You are crazy to go mountain biking”
Trust me - it’s probably cooler outside than it is in my office.
Anyways, I wasn’t entirely crazy. I at least headed towards the ocean instead of inland - so off I went to El Moro I was hoping it would get down to the 70s by the time I arrived, but the car was still registering 88 degrees when I pulled up. Oh well, at least that’s better than 97.
I started at the top at Ridge Park and rode all the way down to the bottom…and then kept on going till we hit sand and ocean. It feels pretty nice to dunk your feet in the water on a hot day. Unfortunately, I had to climb back up to get to the car - but at least it was cooler by then.
