My friends at Chumba Racing graciously lent me one of their prototype bikes to test out around local trails to get my impressions.
So off I headed to one of my local favorites - San Juan. Climbed up to Cocktail Rock and did the Old San Juan Loop around the top. There weren’t a lot of other riders out there and the weather was fantastic.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. Anyways, the prototype did great. It’s very well balanced, where I don’t need to exaggerate my body position when climbing over rocks or dropping down. Nimble would be a good word for it.
And oh..I caught a glimpse of the Salsa Big Mama in the wild today. I didn’t know they were out yet. It must have been a bike industry guy or something. Oh well. Too late. I already ordered another FS 29er. Details to follow later on

I took a leisurely ride around Aliso & Woods canyons today. My route took me up Cholla, down Rock-It, up Mathis, down Meadows and finally back to the car.
I was a little dismayed to see what some kids did to some parts of the park though. I guess they thought it was cool to spray paint some rocks.
I hope they get what they deserve some day. Karma can be a bitch.
I rode Whiting Ranch last Wednesday. But that alone isn’t really newsworthy. The actual reason I’m posting is that I wanted to test out this XML Google Maps Plug-in.
Now you can see where I am more often.
After years of waiting on weyland.com to go belly-up so I could assume rightful ownership, I’ve finally given up and settled on the next best thing - WheresWeyland.com.
Along with the new domain name comes a new look. This new design should give me the flexibility to add a few new things when time allows.
